Robyn Rihanna - also known as Rihanna - is a Barbadian pop singer, songwriter and musician. She has had hits like Pon de Replay, SOS umbrella, Take a Bow. As a young, successful singer-songwriter she is already one of the top selling performers. Her parents hail originally from Barbados, and she started singing as a child. In the wake of being disturbed by chaos of her family life, and her constant battles with her father she was absorbed in the world of music. Before long she discovered she was meant to make it as a professional. When she was in high school she joined a group of musicians and got the chance to meet the music producer Evan Rodgers. He was stunned by her talent. He requested that she move into New York and pursue a singing career full-time. Rihanna jumped at the chance to take it. Rihanna soon became an international star after her debut release. The songs that were aplenty of foot tapping were the most popular with teens, which led Rihanna to make films too. Talented and young, Rihanna is now regarded as both a teen-idol and a fashion idol. Rihanna is also actively involved with charities and makes use of her fame.
